Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size SUV manufactured by General Motors. The Tahoe is much like the GMC Yukon, also from GM. In the early 90's Chevrolet and GMC introduced into the market two different-sized SUVs are under the Blazer and Jimmy model names. But when the full-size Jimmy was rebadged as the Yukon in 1992 the situation changed. Chevrolet waited until 1994, when the improved medium-sized S-10 Blazer for a full-size SUV and rebadged the new four-door version of the Chevy Blazer Tahoe.
As for this, Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon serve as GM's full-size SUV model line. They can be found on display at Iowa City Chevrolet. There are also extended wheelbase option is available for SUVs, the Suburban for the Tahoe and Yukon XL for the Yukon. In 1998, as demand for more passenger-friendly SUV rose, a luxury line of the Yukon model line-up, Yukon Denali, and the 2002 Denali version of the Yukon XL has been available to consumers.
The 2010 model year, Chevy Tahoe is considered one of the best performing SUV that is in the market. It is also very competitive in terms of fuel efficiency, could get 22 mpg with the introduction of the new Tahoe Hybrid. The Tahoe competition in the large sport utility market is the Ford Expedition, Nissan Armada, Toyota Sequoia and the gas division, including hybrids, it takes on the Mercedes GL-Class with its clean burning BlueTec diesel engine, the BMW X6 Hybrid, and even GM's own Cadillac Escalade Hybrid and Yukon Hybrid.
The Tahoe design styling takes the traditional design cues from traditional SUVs and stylish update them for the modern market. In 2007, engineers at GM very successful in providing Tahoe a distinctive look from his Cadillac Escalade model, but it looks very similar to the GMC Yukon. The two SUVs look almost identical until you look at them on the front. The Tahoe's grille and nose wear the latest theme by Chevrolet, two horizontal grille split by the Chevrolet emblem, and flanked on both sides of the large, square headlamps. The glass and sheet metal work done in the Tahoe is in good part, subtle flaring of fenders, a simple-shaped tailgate, and a minimum number of clear lines make an overall clean look. You can still buy this striking vehicle at a used cars Iowa City dealership.
The interior of the Chevrolet Tahoe is also fantastic. A wide band of trim is placed high on the dashboard that looks better than the shiny metallic wood grain. Large, visible gauges are framed by the big wheel. A wide center console houses easy but clearly labeled secondary controls. The rugged interior is a nice place for the base model Tahoe, but the LTZ version interior looks like it was stripped from a German luxury sedan.
Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid has a few small modifications that improve the overall aerodynamics and also to reduce their weight. There are also various LCD displays on the console of the hybrid version.
