How to find almost anything on Google

Almost too often, I come across a client who doesn’t really understand the value and power of google.com. Notice that I didn’t say msn.com, or yahoo.com, or aol.com… I said Google.com. Anyways… quite a few peeps think of google as a search tool for random things when they are bored, or they use it to look up a domain name that they already know about. Well… below are some ideas for you today on how to really take advantage of Google.com for what it is… a Search Engine.

1. Find directions
- Type in the “name of the place or the address, the city and state or the zip code” and find it on google maps

2. Find drivers for your computer
- Type in “the make and model of the computer part, the OS (i.e. Windows XP or Vista), drivers”

3. Have small part of a song stuck in your head but don’t know the name of it, or all the lyrics?
- In quotations type “The lyrics you do know.” More then likely, the song will pop up with everything you could ever want to know about that song

4. Find recipes
- Type “The type of food you want, or the name of the the food, recipes.”

5. Find pictures of anything!
- Go to http://images.google.com/, then literally type in anything you want and it google will scan websites to bring you pictures big to small of what ever your in request of.
I hope this has been enlightening. If you have any other tips of finding cool things on google.com, feel free to leave a comment.
