Highly possible Windows 7 RC out before Computex 2009, says Microsoft Taiwan

Microsoft Taiwan has confirmed that it is "highly possible" a release candidate (RC) build of Windows 7 will be made available before Computex Taipei 2009, which is scheduled for June 2-6.

Unconfirmed market reports indicate that high-level partners of Microsoft such as OEMs have already been given access to Windows 7 RC, and that Microsoft is planning to release this version to the public for testing on May 5.

In related news, multiple industry players, including notebook OEMs, chipset vendors, and graphics card vendors, have informed Digitimes that Microsoft is aiming to delver Windows 7 in time to catch the expected peak in demand during the year-end holiday season.
